The Storm...

Good afternoon...
as many know...
we had some wind come through on Friday night...
Lee and I fared well.
Our hearts go out to our neighbors.
Minor damage in our back yard.

The tops of these trees landed.....

Here.
See the small amount of roof peeking out?
This was across the street...
where my flags ended up.

Taken from my car...there WAS a huge beautiful old
tree right there...

It now lays here.

We had no tornado but instead they were
derecho winds. In some ways worse...
they have forceful winds and last much longer.
These lasted about 2-2.5 hours depending on where you were.
Our electric outage will last until probably Thursday or Friday
and of course there is NO ice to be had.
Lee bought another freezer yesterday and put it at the shop...
which has power. We were able to save a lot of our frozen foods but we still lost roughly
half, not to mention the stuff in the frig.
But we are thankful for our blessings,
that we are o.k. and our families are o.k.
We can deal with going back and forth from the home to the shop...
the pups do not have a clue...
they just enjoy the rides...
and Eli...well...
he is just glad to see us when we return to feed him.

Blessings my friends,
Robin

  5. Glad you have somewhere to go for relief and that your house wasn't damaged. We've been lucky enough to keep power and we've been "sheltering" our Nelson County cousins. Hang in there!! It's really been an ordeal.

  8. Hey Robin -
We got power about 1 this morning. C'ville is a mess and many won't get power back until Saturday. Glad you are okay and that the shop has power. Be safe.
