Love..love it. and best thing I got it for $25.00

Lee made me this make do chair as a Christmas gift and he did GOOD!!

Love the old blue 1800's quilt.

We usually sell out of them so he made me one

that I do not have to sell....lol

We just returned home from Date Night...

yep...I know it's not Friday night, but this

was the Annual New Years Auction...

and well...

We just couldn't think of a better way to spend the

first day of this amazing New Year.

Geez...2013..

I can remember when we all thought the world

was going to be going crazy when it was 2000

and now look...

WE MADE IT!!!

 

I am not going to tell you that we have made resolutions...

we have...

but I will not let you in on them...just yet anyway.

See this way if we mess up you can't fuss at me!!

 

I truly hope (for all our sakes) that 2013 will

be an amazing year full of new endeavors...

opportunities...

friendships...

miracles...and

blessings.

I hope that you all had a blessed Christmas with family and friends.

Ours was very nice...

and today it is COLD and WET....

a little ice but some much needed rain has finally come.

Now its onto thinking of Spring and making out the show schedule for this year.

Not doing as many this year and sticking closer to home.

Lee's back just will not take the long drives and it has just

got to expensive to travel far.

SORRY!!

The shop is OPEN and Christmas items

are on sale.

Good evening friends..

and Welcome.

My wonderful husband..aka Mr Millstone

asked me what I wanted for Christmas...

"a RED front door" was my response...

AND

I LOVE IT!!

Thank you honey!

In one dining room the setting is very simple

small red long johns and simple fruit on the table.

The foyer tree..

no ornaments...yet

The den tree...

love big thick burlap

and this is the tree in the dark...

and in the second dining room...

a live tree on the table with dried fruit.

and one of Eli's toys on the table.

Simple and no fuss.

NOW this is what I'm talkin' about!!

SNOW and COLD.

The calendar says it's December...

but the temps say it's mid spring???

Global warming?

Crazy?

None the less it does not make me want to run and

put up my tree nor does it make me want to go

Christmas shopping...

I am being a Scrooge this year...I have

NO

NONE

NADA

ZILCH

ZERO

Christmas items up in my home.

Well...if ya count the tree from the show that is stuck in the basement

then I have a silly green plastic tree from Hobby Lobby up...in the

home shop with no lights or decorations on it.

I feel like Charlie Brown...

Doesn't anyone know the meaning of Christmas...

Hopefully I will be able to pull out of it...

get it together and celebrate the season!!!

The Final Show

It was bittersweet...setting up for the final show

of the year...

not seeing my "show family" until after

all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season is over...

and the ringing in of the New Year.

Lots of hugging going on Saturday afternoon.

So now it's onto putting up the ONE tree at home...

nothing fancy.

Lee is down with his back and he has been hurting

pretty bad. He has tried EVERYTHING to ease the pain...

don't know where this will lead us.

Taking some time off and getting my house and home shop back

in order....maybe this time off will help his back.

 Our next show will be in Feb...
