Cooking The Laundry

Yep, you heard...or read correctly!! I have been cooking my laundry
and ever so often I go out and spritz some "dots" on it!!  You should see
my hands!!!  Walnut ink, tea, coffee and secrets have made them
look like I have been playin' in the dirt....for a while!
I even "cook" the walnut ink...just to warm it up a bit. I find that it gives a more
primitive look and really adheres to my fabric.  You may find large quantities of
walnut ink crystals on e-bay...and they last FOREVER...cause a little goes a L-O-N-G
way!!

I was just looking at the picture and one piece looks like I have been playing like
Daniel Boone...looks like a hide hanging there.  That was just a piece of "leftovers" and
I figured I might as well add that to the mixture also.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all the kind comments and
orders for "Door Boards" as I have heard them called...most folks put the signs over their doors
so hence that name I guess...  But you may put them anywhere you see fit!!!!!
Just trying to think of a really good way to ship them...cheap!!
Any suggestions would be VERY appreciated!!

Thank you kindly for your visit today...look forward to seeing you again soon...
Robin

  1. I like doing that in the nice weather with large pieces.
Dripping on the lines, gives them a nice stained look.

  3. Robin, I often hang my fabric out to dry and we live in a neighborhood and Mr. P. gets worried. He says reckon what do the neighbors think? HMMMMMM, bet we have been good or might I say bad conversation at some supper tables. Prims are not popular here at all so I doubt anyone has a clue what I am doing. But that's okay. Looking one day for someone to put some Clorox on my door steps and then run. (ha) Have a good evening.
