~~~Where Are You Wynter~~~
************  *********
***************
NOW this is what I'm talkin' about!!
SNOW and COLD.
The calendar says it's December...
but the temps say it's mid spring???
Global warming?
Crazy?
None the less it does not make me want to run and
put up my tree nor does it make me want to go
Christmas shopping...
I am being a Scrooge this year...I have
NO
NONE
NADA
ZILCH
ZERO
Christmas items up in my home.
Well...if ya count the tree from the show that is stuck in the basement
then I have a silly green plastic tree from Hobby Lobby up...in the
home shop with no lights or decorations on it.
I feel like Charlie Brown...
Doesn't anyone know the meaning of Christmas...
Hopefully I will be able to pull out of it...
get it together and celebrate the season!!!
Blessings from the "Grinch"
The Final Show
~~~~~~~~~
It was bittersweet...setting up for the final show
of the year...
not seeing my "show family" until after
all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season is over...
and the ringing in of the New Year.
Lots of hugging going on Saturday afternoon.

Here is a small sampling of Millstone's Booth...
Please enjoy..

So now it's onto putting up the ONE tree at home...
nothing fancy.

Lee is down with his back and he has been hurting
pretty bad. He has tried EVERYTHING to ease the pain...
don't know where this will lead us.

Taking some time off and getting my house and home shop back
in order....maybe this time off will help his back.
 Our next show will be in Feb...
WINTER IN THE VALLEY
FISHERSVILLE, VA.
More to follow.

Have a blessed night.

The Open House

A few pictures from the first Open House

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone
for their support this year.
Special thanks to:
My Dad for fluffing 15 Christmas trees over 2 days
To Anita for being my right hand and standing behind the counter
writing tickets for 7 hours while 250+ people came through our doors.
To Cathy for always being there with all of your support, taking all those road trips and also
for being the bestest "sister wife" ever...lol
To Mr. Millstone for believing in me and for spending what was
probably the l-o-n-g-e-s-t week of his life with me at the
shop last week decorating.
AND...
TO THE BEST CUSTOMER FRIENDS...EVER.

The shop is OPEN this week
EXCEPT SAT.
Join us in Fishersville Fri. night and Sat.
for AN OLDE FASHIONED CHRISTMAS!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

And my friends...

Here are 2 of them anyway...
Linda on the left and Anita on the right.
Some of you may recognize Anita from the shop...
she runs the shop for me while I am away at shows.
THANK YOU GIRLFRIEND!!!

And just some of their wares...

So...I get home from the shop today and this is what I found..

I thought someone had sent a gift...
come to find out Mr Millstone had been at it again.
This is HIS Santa...hand drawn out and 100% hand stitched.
He made this using an old feedsack...
I have been with him for 14 years and he NEVER ceases to
amaze me.

Have a Blessed evening.

I will be out of touch for a few days as we leave in the am...

SHOP IS CLOSED SATURDAY

Mark Your Calendar........

~~~~~~~~~~
We would love to have you...
Hope you can attend.
Call me olde fashioned...but there will be
NO Christmas
in the shop until the open house.
Don't you remember when you were little the excitement there was in going shopping the day after Thanksgiving...today we call this Black Friday...but there
WAS a day when it was just a fun family shopping day.....
waiting patiently to see the new toys...making your Santa list
and at the end of the day there was always hot chocolate with
peppermint...my Mother was the Queen of hot chocolate,
shopping and decorating...guess I got it honestly.
O.K. enough of this....
Millstone will be CLOSED on
WEDNESDAY OCT 17
as Cathy and I head to Gettysburg
for the AWESOME
AMERICAN HANDCRAFTERS WHOLESALE SHOW...
all handmade in the good old USA!!!
Can't wait....
of course we are also going to the
HERITAGE MARKET....
soooo many friends at this show and some
super merchandise.
This weekend is also the APPLE HARVEST...
which Millstone is honored to be a part of
woohooo year #5 for us...
shop WILL BE OPEN on FRIDAY TIL 2
and OPEN SATURDAY TIL 2
