A Couple Gathering Photos

Good morning to you, what a beautiful day here in Virginia. Just a couple of photos from the show this past Saturday...I know a little late, but I have gone crazy!!
A fantastic turn out and some talented people. I really wish I knew how to sew like some of the ladies.

Pickin' and grinnin'. Corbin on the left is amazing...and young. He is still in high school and already has released a cd.

I really want to thank everyone for coming out for the show. It was a beautiful day all around!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support...I said earlier I have gone crazy, well I have...I fully believe that. But I have a reason...I quit smoking!!! Yeah!! But the cravings and nuttiness have really gotten the best of me. Please bear with me through this...I want sooo much to continue not to smoke (it's been a month) but I really don't think my "be nice" pills are working. I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be sooooo hard.
Poor Lee can not do ANYTHING right, to put it bluntly...my attitude sucks!! I really felt better when I was smoking!!!! I am wearing the patch and taking 2 pills a day, hopefully this will be a turning day!!! Because I really do not like the person I see in the mirror. The cravings for food are enormous, how do you get over them? If anyone out there has quit smoking with success, PLEASE give me some pointers and tips. I truly want to be a healthier non smoking person.
Thank you for your continued support.
Many many blessings to you,
Robin

  1. Hey Robin, glad the show went so well. Can't help you out on the smoking as I never smoked. I constantly battle the same ten to fifteen pounds though because I like to eat, especially those pies and cinnamon rolls I bake. 8-) I lose, gain, lose, gain.... So you do have my sympathies. Best wishes on your success!!
    Blessings,
    Lorna

  2. Good morning! I know what you're saying about smoking. I want to quit too and it seems like I just haven't had the "strength". Let me know if you find the secret. My husband used that prescription for Chantix (sp?) and had a pretty easy time. I love, love, love the pictures of the show! Sure wish I could have been there, maybe another time. I'm doing a show in Michigan on Saturday - so you know this has been a crazy week! Hope you have a great weekend and are feeling lots "better" soon, Dawn

  3. It will be 4 years in Nov since I quit and I still crave them. Quitting was the hardest thing I have ever done. I know I can NOT have even one because that would hook me again. I also believe quitting was one of the smartest things I have done. Even tho I have gained 45 pounds because I constantly need something in my mouth.. I think of the health benefits, the $ I am saving, the role model for my Grandchildren.. yep it is HARD, HARD, HARD but it is worth it. I will add you to my prayers and my advice is to keep your hands and mind (when you can focus for a minute) busy.

  5. Think of all the wonderful health benefits! Look at the money you will save, for treasures!
Look at how wonderful and fresh you will smell.
NO MOUTH WRINKLES when you get old. :-)
It's a hard thing to do - but we are proud of you! Keep up your hard work and keep those hands busy!
